Sunday 8th December 2013 saw a number of Vaseco employees head to Oulton Park race track in Cheshire to take part in a charity Santa Dash in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.
St Luke’s is an adult hospice based near to our office in Winsford that cares for people from Mid and South Cheshire suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. It is a non-profit making organisation funded by voluntary contributions and local Clinical Commissioning Groups.
With the sun shining over Oulton Park, there was a great turn out for the event with a combination of walkers, cyclists, scooters and even rollerbooters in attendance. Vaseco was the largest corporate group that participated in the Santa Dash with 19 people taking part to help raise lots of money for St Luke’s.
Members of the team also took part in the many other events taking place on the day including a ‘Santa vs Mince Pie’ eating competition, a hospital bed race and a ‘Pie and Spoon’ race for the younger members of the group. Everyone had a great day and look forward to taking part again next year.
