PSL3G + PR2 TEST PIPELINE CONNECTORS – SHAH DENIZ 2

BP is the only Western company involved in gas production activities in Azerbaijan.

BP’s future gas plans for the Caspian are currently focused on developing the next tranche of gas from Shah Deniz Stage 2. It is a huge project, which will deploy subsea production technology in the Caspian and will use advanced drilling solutions to produce wells at some of the world’s highest rates. Specifically, Shah Deniz Stage 2 is set to have 26 production wells at depths of over 6,000 metres. Nine of these wells have already been drilled.

These wells will produce 16bn m3 of gas per year, which will be delivered to markets across Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and South Eastern Europe. Moreover, the Shah Deniz Stage 2 will be the cornerstone of the Southern Gas Corridor linking Caspian resources directly with the European gas market for the first time. In terms of timeline, we are targeting to deliver first gas to Turkey in 2018 and expect to get this new source of Caspian gas to Europe by 2020.

BP’s links with Angola date back to the 1970-’s. In the 1990-’s BP gained substantial offshore deep and ultra-deep water interests in the Lower Congo basin following a merger with Amoco. BP acquired further interests in five new deep and ultra-deep water blocks in the Kwanza and Benguela basins in 2011, giving the company a leading position in Angola with interests in nine blocks accounting for a total acreage of 32,650Km2, and making the Angola Region one of the most important assets in BP’s exploration and production portfolio. BP has to date invested more than $27 billion in its Angola assets and intends to continue its investment in exploration and development in the future.

BP is the operator of blocks 18 and 31 in the deep and ultra-deep waters of the Congo basin, and blocks 19 and 24 in the deep waters of the Kwanza and Benguela basins. BP is a non-operating partner in blocks 15 and 17 in the deep waters of the Congo basin, in blocks 20, 25 and 26 in the deep waters of the Benguela and Kwanza basins, as well as the Angola LNG project in Soyo.

GAS SUBMERGED CHECK VALVES

Saudi Aramco is one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world. To put that into perspective, they supply 25% of the world’s daily oil supplies. They manage proven crude oil reserves of 260 billion barrels and the world’s fourth largest gas reserves, with 253 trillion cubic feet.

Saudi Aramco is the world’s largest exporter of petroleum, with a daily output that stands at nearly twice our nearest competitor. They lead the way in terms of natural gas liquids exports; among the leading producers of natural gas; and are actively exploring the potential in renewable energy deployment

ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR PRESSURE SEALS

Located off the coast of Australia, Ichthys is a major project primarily producing liquefied natural gas (LNG). Condensate gas is extracted from the offshore field and processed on a semi-submersible platform, which separates gas from liquid prior to transporting the gas via a subsea gas pipeline to the LNG plant near Darwin.

Ichthys is a world-class liquefied natural gas (LNG) project. Operated by INPEX in partnership with Total, the project will develop large gas and condensate reserves found deep beneath the seabed in waters over 200km from the northwest coast. Learn more about this project and how it enhances our LNG production close to key Asian markets.
