A sunny spring day welcomed the runners taking part in Run Marbury 10km on 9th March 2014. Amongst the 350 participants was our very own Stephanie Taylor, who took part in the challenging 10km loop through the woodland trails of Marbury Country Park in Cheshire.

Steph completed the course in a great time, whilst also raising a brilliant £350 for local charity St Luke’s Hospice.

It was the first time the Run Marbury 10km event had taken place and after it being such a great success the organisers are hoping to hold another event later in the year. So keep your eyes peeled to see if Steph takes up the next Run Marbury challenge…

Run Marbury 10km

Run Marbury 10km helped raise money for two very special charities:

St Luke’s is an adult hospice based near to the Vaseco office in Winsford that cares for people from Mid and South Cheshire suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. It is a non-profit making organisation funded by voluntary contributions and local Clinical Commissioning Groups.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK is a charity with a single purpose – to grant magical wishes to children and young people aged 3-17 fighting life-threatening conditions. Make-A-Wish has granted more than 8,000 magical wishes and for many families this can be the last happy memory they have of their child having fun in a magical world, surrounded by family and friends – rather than memories of days and weeks of painful treatments and hospitalisation. In years to come, the family can look back and remember that special time.
