Mike Frank has been with Vaseco since leaving school in 1999 at the age of 16, when he started his employment as an apprentice, servicing vacuum pumps and leak detectors. During his apprenticeship he attended college on a day release basis where he completed his ONC in Engineering. He then continued his education taking the HND diploma in Business Studies.
During his apprenticeship Mike developed an in depth understanding of the company from first hand experience, working within all departments, learning how to relate to staff, customers and suppliers alike whilst also establishing knowledge of the complete business environment. This has proved to be an excellent starting point for his future within Vaseco.
Development
On completion of his Apprenticeship Mike moved into the office where he became Project Manager, dealing with major customers and suppliers on a regular basis, involved with incoming Service, Sales and Hire. It was at this point that he started to develop the important relationships with major customers that he retains to this day.
In September 2011 Mike became Sales Director, concentrating particularly on the leak detection element of Vaseco business. In this role he was able to further develop the Sales, Service and Hire of leak detection equipment.
During this time Mike decided that Vaseco should invest heavily in the purchase of new equipment to expand our Hire Fleet, offering more equipment choices and increasing availability to our customers. A decision which helped to make the Hire business into the success that it is today.
Driving force
Success in this role led to his appointment as Managing Director in March 2017.
Mike has been the main driving force behind the marketing and sales of the HD1 leak detector, initially introducing our major customers to the new equipment once development was complete. He shares Philip’s vision of the company maintaining the key position within the leak detection market, aiming to develop and design even more innovative products for the industry.
As Managing Director he is determined to continue improving and developing Vaseco in order to elevate it even higher than the position it already holds within the industry to date.
