Mud was the least of Mike Frank’s worries when he recently tackled the Tough Mudder course at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire. Tough Mudder events are hardcore 12 mile obstacle courses designed by Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, determination, and camaraderie. Only 78% of entrants successfully complete the course.
A very different challenge to a day in the office, Mike (Vaseco’s General Manager) faced an onslaught of challenges such as crawling through underground mud tunnels, swimming through ice baths, sprinting through a field of live electric wires (of up to 10,000 volts!) and scaling 12-foot walls covered in mud and grease.
Tough Mudder is a proud supporter of Help for Heroes and the funds raised at each event go towards providing combat stress recovery programmes, adaptive sports programmes, benefits counseling and employment services that aid in these soldiers’ transition to civilian life.
Mike completed the gruelling course in a brilliant 2 hours 45 minutes.
A big well done to Mike from everyone at Vaseco and we’re looking forward to seeing how he can top that challenge in 2014…
